I'm Geilton.

I was born in Ilhéus, on the southern coast of Bahia, and moved to São Paulo when I was eight years old.

I didn't enter technology through architecture. I started in support, ERP implementations, SQL fixes, user training, and the kind of operational work where every bug has a person waiting on the other side. That experience taught me that software is rarely the real problem. Friction is.

Today I'm a Solutions Architect designing distributed systems on .NET and Azure. Most of my work sits at the intersection of engineering and organizations: building platforms, identity systems, and developer tooling that help hundreds of engineers move faster without sacrificing reliability. I stay close to the implementation because I believe architecture is a practice, not a title.

I'm drawn to platform engineering and event-driven architecture, to the craft of making complex systems feel simple, and lately to how AI is reshaping the way software gets built. The projects I'm proudest of are often the least visible: internal platforms, automation, engineering standards, and infrastructure that quietly removes thousands of repetitive decisions from people's daily work.

Outside work, I build small products, write about engineering, and spend an unreasonable amount of time thinking about how developers learn. I enjoy creating things that outlast the excitement of their first release.
